Did I read that right? Try to make Benavidez come in at 160? Hahaha!
What's crazy is they would even consider it realistic for him. Maybe Turki is learning to play the shifty side of the sport just like all the others because 160 is a nonstarter for a guy already stated he's going the other direction.

let's remember that team david b have been caught lying about offers & signed contracts in the past. if it's true then shouldn't we be calling out bud for trying to drain david b?
It’s not Crawford that wants to drain Benavidez, it’s Turki.

Mate, I really don’t think Bud has that much clout. He doesn’t have “Floyd type” influence.
Don’t get me wrong if Benavidez di agree to the fight (which he won’t) Bud wouldn’t say no.

Haven't seen anyone affiliated on team-Turki disputing a thing though. I bolieve David on this one. I mean Canelo himself flat said he doesn't see benefit of Crawford and he'd be too small and get zero credit. Yet Turki keeps pitching it.
why would turki even care? just seems strange for david b to say "we never got to that point" then the next second "he did mention one opponent"

No problem believing Turki suggested 160.

Fair comment. I suppose we haven’t seen him say it.

Well because he decided to go there and deluge it? Conversations are ebb and flow like that. Shockingly not every discussed detail of hashing out business dealings between top figures has its own press conference. Even though fanboys on twatter act like it. Take it with a grain of salt or flat dismiss it. But I put nothing passed the politics of boxing and the introduction of a outside figure throwing around multi millions like it was party confetti.

I have only heard the Saudi talk about David Benavidez fighting the winner of Beterbiev & Bivol. Wasn't it the Saudi's suggestion that Benavidez move up to 175? He now wants him to come back down to 160 after? Does this Saudi have any idea about cutting weight?
