    Inoue literally breaking dudes backs.

Lemme repeat that in another way

Inoue hit Doheny with a body shot and smashed his spine

Just another day for The Monster

I'm also coming round to the Japanese boxing crowd. I do enjoy the times when boxing matches had whores with cigarettes, crooks, and misfits hiding in the half-light surrounding the ring, but the modern boxing scene filled with trophy wives, You Tubers, pseudo-stars, and mandatory show-up bored neophites doesn't do it for me.

The silence and occassional applause of the Japan folks who at the very least attempt to show respect to those gods of war is something to see. It makes them shout for Inoue to fight harder all the more special.

Inoue's part of what's good about boxing. He's got several strikes going against him. He fights at the lighter weights... so casuals don't care. He fights mostly in Japan, so again casuals don't care. He's not fluent in English, so again casuals don't care. He doesn't engage in diva bullshit, so Instagrammers and casuals don't care.

He's just a no-nonsense "hunt-and-destroy" machine, who will fight ANYBODY without so much as a peep.

    How fukking refreshing.

    No surprises here
Inoue did what an elite fighter should do against a veteran former champion
    1st fighter to stop Doheny

Jin Sasaki is awesome to watch

Yoshiki Takei vs. Daigo Higa was a fun, close fight
    Higa says he is retiring

Inoue doesn't get talked about enough, because he's not a loud-mouthed primadonna.

But his achievements have been nothing short of amazing. He's been a titleholder in four weight divisions, spanning from light fly to super bantam. Why he skipped over the flyweight division is beyond me. I was out on a month-long trip when he fought Luis Nery, a fight I would've loved to have seen. But this guy (Naoya) fights anybody and everybody.

I would give him a pretty good chance at featherweight as well. At some point his size is going to catch up to him. But I think he could easily win titles at feather.

IMO, he's far and away the world's #1 p4p, and it's not even close. His list of victims alone dictates that's where he belongs.

I think the debate between Usyk, Inoue and Crawford for #1 is very close. The difference in choice could come down to the smallest of details and preferences IMO.
