At his prime, no one could beat him. His head wasn't right in the Douglas fight after Cus D matos death and Robin Givens. He never got it back after that

His boxing style got messed long before he went to prison. As soon as Rooney left, his defense started to vanish. It is a shame that he never fulfilled his full potential. But, he had a great first 3rd of a career. I love Mike, but he is certainly not the best ever. But, in his prime he would have been a handful for anyone.
