I remember being overcome with emotion the first time I heard this story from President Hinckley. It happened again when I saw this video for the first time. It has been a couple of years since that first viewing, and those strong feelings have returned watching it this second time. What a great video and a great message. The gifts of charity, service, and love are priceless and eternal.

@umsami Have you read the Book of Mormon? I think you might find a little enlightenment on the subject if you were to read it and ponder on it. And after all, aren't all Christian denominations based on Faith?

    Awesome.

@umsami Don't put your faith in the understanding of men. Read the Book of Mormon, and then pray about it. No longer will you be worried about something that might not be able to be explained by men, but will have a sure knowledge of the truth from our Heavenly Father.

Awesome story. I'm not Mormon, but plan to share this with my kids in the morning. Of all the Christians I know, the Mormons seem to live their faith the best. Unfortunately, I can't get past the disconnect of the BOM w/ archaeological evidence.

@bonnieridd Why should he find god? Can't this story move him without someone needing to bring GOD into it?

My late husband and I met years ago at quiet ward in AZ. Never did we question why we praise and foster Heavenly Father through the message Joseph Smith left. We make study of faith with special attention to LANGUAGE. The prophet J. Smith instructed LDS to focus on language because only then would we recognize Heavenly Father when he appeared. Heavenly Father is with us today. His delivery can be found in LA PAROLA IN CUATRO. Only the Creator can explain His vision as His own. @La Parola

All of humanity is connected. There is not a situation that someone is in that you, a loved one, or a friend couldn't be in.

    I miss President Hinckley!

  23. Oct 13, 2011 at 11:16 PM by TheZanapu

I don't understand dislikes...I never know what people don't like about the videos. Are they disliking the message? The messenger? The LDS church?

  24. Oct 11, 2011 at 06:24 PM by naeglrt

I wish those who denounce this wonderful "Christian" religion could see this and be touched by it the way I have. I love the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I love president Hinckley and miss him dearly. I love what LDS people stand for. This is the only true church on the face of the whole earth. If only pastor Jeffriss could see this maybe he could feel what Latter Day Saints feel. What a beautiful true religion.

@MultiFagman I'm not a mormon personally but they are generally good people and there messages/video are very good and after looking past the lies and B.S. surrounding the LDS church and learning for one's self I'm sure anyone would like the church and generally it's members even if they disagreed with their beliefs... People are people and theres good and bad along with crazy and sane everywhere but good people are good people and good messages are good messages so why spead hatred towards it
