@a1stack and the musicians that DID do drugs, were fired! Why can't people believe that the human mind is capable of extremely creative things without drugs! It's just depressing!

@3ISAMAGICNUMBR non baked, zappas band were only musicians, not drugies

What a shame about the claymation parts. I'd really like to see him play that solo, and finish the song, too.

I wonder how baked they are.......

Frank was an amazing guitarist, listen to those lines. Not just some pointless shredding, he really had a jazz approach to his solos and to his music as a whole. Always surprising you with ideas, and that's what i love so much in music generally. Although i have to disagree with the guy bellow - Hendrix is still untouchable (listen to some more obscured recordings of Jimi and you'll see where i'm coming from, no wonder Miles Davis wanted to play with him).

Everything about this version is genius, it really is. But listen carefully to the lick from 2.51 to 2.58; it's even better! It's even better than genius! Seven sublime seconds of sound!

I think I just heard him rapping, in 1974! The man was ahead of his time!

it's just fucking words, it's words, words, words, it's just words

Frank always struck me as a Scientologist except without all the dogmatic money grabbing bs.

Man I gotta get my hands on this version it's totally badass

  12. Feb 2, 2012 at 10:40 AM by ggoutoftouch

Let me put it this way: I have no ide what the fuck I just heard, but it made sweet sweet sex to my ears and that is good.

Frank Zappa is the best guitarist that ever lived. Hands down! I am not even going to fight anyone who says different, because i'm so sure of it! His knowledge of the instrument, combined with his knowledge on music and writing music, combined with his untouchable technique and creativity makes him the best guitarist ever! Hendrix would give his left nut to play like frank! I'm not dissing Hendrix, but i'm pretty sure he had mad respect for a player like Frank who never did the same thing twice!

@cassavelli I agree, but there's absolutely no reason to bring that up here. You're going to start another retarded argument about something that's subjective.

@Rush3524 Did you know that Beiber's fame is caused by people talking on the internet about him? Even the hate is free advertising for him. What I'm doing now is the same actually...aah nevermiind

It';s sad how youtube has a Justin Beiber channel but not a Frank Zappa channel. Why aren't the fore bearers of progressive rock/metal treated like they should be?
