    @ParallelSolutions mixture of line sizes here i think 15 & 20lb with 40lb jinkai leader. yes the braid wizzing throught the guides is a great sound. portside rod has 30lb mono

    Mate, gotta love the sound of braid going through the eyes and drag peeling off the spool. Excellent stuff, what pound line and leaders were you guys using?

    O.k thanks for your reply mate, ended up getting a 10-17lb SOL rod matched to a 3000 size reel, spooled with 15lb braid. Hopefully should knock over a few of the big boys without too much hassle.

    using 4-7kg starlo stix max spins with 4000 FJ Shimano Symetre reels with 20lb braid, you can got lighter on line if you want. fishing mostly 40gm jig heads in 90ft of water. hope this helps
