my horse trainer told me "cowgirls dont cry" on my first day of lessons that day i fell off and didnt cry<3 she was right, thank you heather(:

When my husband left my daughter and i, I taught this song to her to help her feel better about missing her dad. It's been almost 2 years and she hasnt heard or seen him since then but she still sings this song when she's sad. Every time I hear it i think about how strong women of all ages are.

@ukpete259 i don't think of my self as some gret rider or whatev, but this? Don't think so. And as I said, I hate the spurs.

@bigmouth1995 i know whats its like to lose a pet that was more then a pet but it was her time as hard as it was letting her go she happy and running free waiting for u to ride her again :)

My favorite horse just died today. He was only 6 years old. He had an aneurysm and seizured until he died. I was in full work mode when he was dying, keeping his head up checking his pulse, everything. I didn't cry when his head fell limp on the ground. I was too busy making sure he wasn't still breathing, calling people to help. It all happened so fast. I didn't cry until I sat there with him until his body grew cold and watched his white body descend into the ground. RIP baby boy<3

my grampa aint doin so good and its tearin my mom up this song reminds me of him cause he was a cowboy and he was a tough 1!!!!!

My daddy and I own a ranch, and when i was 4 he bought me a Pony named Lilac. My momma made videos of me riding Lilac, and now I'm 14, I still have my beautiful Lilac, but my daddy died of cancer not long ago. and he told me the same thing, Cowgirls dont cry because this was our song... Right before he died, he told me it was ok to cry, and i told him "Daddy, cowgirls dont cry".... This song means so much to me! I love you daddy!

I like to play this on my MP3 player while I ride my horse :) It makes me feel all tough and what not. C:

I envy anyone who has a horse or even rides. I can't. I self-harm and if I fail at anything my self-harm gets worse. It hurts that I can't live my dream because if I don't do well enough I'll destroy myself but I guess Cowgirls don't cry.

this reminds me of my situation now... my mom had taken my grandmother to the doctors...i watched my mom pull in the driveway she looked like she was shouting so i keep watching out our window and a few seconds later i watch her throw her head back and start to cry... turns out my grandmother might have lung cancer and she isnt gonna be around too long...
