I'm against dog fighting but I used to be under the impression that pits were the best at fighting (at least thats how they are portrayed by the media) until I went to smotri.com and saw no more than six vids of kangals handling so called "game" pitbulls.

@surleyguru So I wouldnt say they are more game then other breeds that were used or still are being used for fighting because most of these match up between the APBT and some of the breeds I listed have not been tested to see which is game and which isnt. Gameness has to be proven by each individual animal regardless of breed. Its like saying all Asians are smart, but thats not always the case. We just assume that since they study harder but once again its a individual thing and the enviroment

  6. Jan 24, 2012 at 08:58 PM by chibi171

In other words I doubt the APBT are as gamey as they once were. Only the ones that are still coming from dogs that are being properly bred trained and fought. In the U.S. it illegal and only a few dogs in the underground world are real game although the ones in other countries were fighting is legal may be alot more game because the ppl are allowed to breed etc. freely.Breeds like the Gull Terr,Gull Dong,Bully Kutta,Tosa, and Fila Braseilero can equal if not at times best Pits and vice versa.

  7. Jan 24, 2012 at 08:51 PM by chibi171

@surleyguru Possibly depending on the dogs bloodline and who is doing the breeding and if the individuals dog(s) gameness have been tested. In other words once the dog has made it past the training sessions etc. and been rolled. Only then can someone say their dog posses gameness if he makes it that far, but once that dog is pitted agaisnt another dog that has some experience in the pit only then can someone see how much game is in a dog. @chibi171 This is true but I believe you will find more game individuals in the apbt breed then any other.

  9. Jan 24, 2012 at 06:18 PM by chibi171

@surleyguru Excuse the typos and grammar lol i dont double check before posting half the time XD but yeah I love this breed but I do believe some people also get caught up in the myths and stereotypes about the breed. This can sometimes do more bad then good to the breeds image. Thats why you have so many APBT end up in wrong hands of would be dog fighters. And very few ending up in homes as pets because of these misconceptions and how they are portrayed.

  10. Jan 24, 2012 at 06:09 PM by chibi171

@surleyguru For example a APBT could be in a tie (fighting wise) or be knocking at deaths door but still want to fight. It doesnt matter if he wins or lose it matters that he doesnt quit wanting to fight. So just becuase some APBT express the desire to fight doesnt mean it want cur out if pressed. Thats why I say real game dogs are far and few in between and just because a dog may be a pit doesnt mean he will have the gameness in him. Its found individually not in a whole group.

  11. Jan 24, 2012 at 06:06 PM by chibi171

@surleyguru I agree somewhat I cant say the PBT gamenesss surpasses all breeds since there are many breeds outside the US that most ppl dont know exist are breed for fighting purposes and need gameness as well I believe it depends more on the individual dog and its breeding, upbringing etc. Also many consider gameness just to reflect the dogs will not to get give up or back down in a fight. @chibi171 Very true but also keep in mind that if you own an apbt you can rest assure that its gameness is superior to other breeds. Simply because its an american pitbull terrier. I know there not invincible but it usually takes a dog 3 times their size to beat them.

@SURSIDEX3420 u wudnt kno game if u seen it scrapa

  14. Jan 15, 2012 at 11:45 PM by chibi171

@surleyguru True but keep in mind there are very few actual game pits most ppl will call their dog game because of its bloodline or because it displays some aggression but there is more to it than that. Most of these dogs wouldnt stand up to a real game dog but also the pit isnt invincible and many do meet their match or in some cases their maker. People who can claim to have game pits must be training them to fight or fighting them.

  15. Jan 15, 2012 at 10:16 PM by surleyguru

@chibi171 Google powerdog beats kangal....if im not mistaken it show a true apbt beating a rottie as well. Dobermans have no chance considering they have no fighting abilities what so ever. A kangal can beat a pit if its on the smaller size but a good 60-65 Ib apbt will usually get the job done. My 53 Ib game bitch has no trouble wrestling her gsd buddy to the ground and spinning him in circles while she grips his neck. He weighs around 90 Ibs and is no match for her.

  16. Jan 15, 2012 at 10:05 PM by surleyguru

@chibi171 Anyone who owns an apbt can rest assured their dogs gameness is superior to other breeds. For the simple fact that it is the perfect combination of bulldog and terrier blood. With the terrier genes comes drive, and the bulldog blood bring the gameness to the table. Everydog is an individual though, there can be some weak specimans in the gene pool just like every other creature on this planet.
