My father resigned from his job on City Council a 3yrs ago after being RIDICULOUSLY prosecuted for 'causing public offense'. All he did was protest about the lack of public toilet facilities in town by defecating in a flower-bed. I was there taking photos & most shoppers were amused at the prank, especially when he bent down to sniff his 'business', inviting others to "smell our council's STINK for yourselves!" Police took it out of context & proportion- his life & career were unfairly RUINED.
